Mary Ann knows that the health of our environment directly effects the health of people, so she participates in a number of community opportunities that protect the environment and help people enjoy it! She is the President of Pennsy Trails of Hancock County Inc., the land steward of Schramm Nature Preserve, and a Master Naturalist and Master Gardener.
Volunteer & Community Service
- President of Pennsy Trails of Hancock County Inc. : building trails to connect communities
- Works to encourage the development of a walk/bike trail in Hancock county along the National Road Heritage Trail.
- Works to raise & distribute funds to Hancock County for the trail development
- Lead the group to obtain 501c3 status in 2016
- Wrote a grant to obtained funds from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources to purchase property and arrange land donations along US 40 from 400 West to 500 West in 2017
- Acted as project manager in this land acquisition working with state and local government and the community to reach our goal.
